You have big goals

It’s time to reach them

Doyenne offers 2.5 day strategic planning retreats for women entrepreneurs. We work with you to formulate and articulate a clear vision for the future, identify critical milestones, and create an immediate plan of action. The Retreat is an accessible and affordable way to get in-depth, personal coaching for you and your venture. We limit each retreat to a maximum of 10 businesses so that you get personalized attention.

Unlike a typical conference, where you listen to people talk at you (for hours upon hours) about generic business approaches, we actually work with you on YOUR ideas. And, instead of stuffing your notebook with the ideas that you frantically scribbled down into a drawer to be forgotten, you leave the Doyenne Retreat with specific action items and peers who will be expecting updates.

There is so much I can say about Doyenne. My life and my view about business, my experience as an entrepreneur changed when I became a member. Through the retreats and consistent one-to-one coaching with Amy, we were able to customize a business model that was a perfect fit for me and my organization.

The Retreat Experience

The Retreat Experience unfolds in 4 phases:

Phase 1: Building Community (Day 1, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm)
We host an evening session where you get to know the other participants and the Doyenne facilitators. Over drinks and food, we share our stories and talk about how the following two days will unfold. We explore how to get the most out of the experience and what to expect. It is a very casual, relaxed atmosphere to get the jitters out before the harder work begins.

Phase 2: Formulating a Vision and Milestones (Day 2, 8:30 am -2:00 pm)
The second day we begin the hard work of formulating and articulating a clear vision for the future and identifying the milestones to achieve it. Doyenne facilitators will provide a 40-minute overview and discussion of the Business Model Canvas tool. Then, we’ll pull out our computers, flipcharts, post-its, and markers and get to work. Doyenne facilitators will sit down with you individually to begin answering the following questions:

  • What does your day look like when you wake up 3-5 years from now?
  • What does your business look like 3-5 years from now?
  • What are the major milestones that will get you there?

Phase 3: Gathering Feedback from Experts (Day 2, 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
It is critical to practice sharing your vision with others and strategy for achieving it.  You need input from a variety of people for your ideas to evolve. Our Retreat has two mechanisms for you to do this. First, select Doyenne mentors will be visiting in the afternoon to learn about your ideas and provide input through a structured coaching process. You will have the opportunity to get feedback from 5-10 experts. Second, we will have a social reception in the evening that is open to the public. You can invite friends and family. Over drinks and snacks, you’ll have the chance to talk informally with new people and your participant peers.

Phase 4: Developing an Action Plan (Day 3, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm)
Before we send you back into the chaos of everyday life, we want you to develop a plan of action for moving forward. From our experience, we know that if you do not have concrete steps determined in advance, you will easily slip back into old routines. It is human nature. So, you’ll spend the final day crafting a plan and sharing it with your peers.
